She was a Contributing Illustrator to The Franklin Mint Press and a Contributing Illustrator to The New York Times Op Ed page. She was awarded a Massachusetts Artist's Foundation Fellowship and an award of Excellence\, for Editorial Illustration from Illustration Annual. Edie was raised in Barnstable. Left at 17 to seek fame and fortune and returned 20 years later to raise her family. She lives in the barn behind the house she grew up in with her husband. She has two sons and three grandchildren.
