DESCRIPTION:This art show runs through April and May 2022\, with an artist talk taking place on May 21 at 1 PM at the Osterville Village Library. Edith Vonnegut is a painter. Her work juxtaposes heavenly beings\, heroic women and glorified mundane activities. She has exhibited in galleries across the United States\, has had two books published\, Domestic Goddesses and a children's book\, Nora's Tale and written 3 plays. She was a Contributing Illustrator to The Franklin Mint Press and a Contributing Illustrator to The New York Times Op Ed page. She was awarded a Massachusetts Artist's Foundation Fellowship and an award of Excellence\, for Editorial Illustration from Illustration Annual. Edie was raised in Barnstable. Left at 17 to seek fame and fortune and returned 20 years later to raise her family. She lives in the barn behind the house she grew up in with her husband. She has two sons and three grandchildren.
