Learn the ins and outs of primitive rug-hooking in this FUN 4-session class with fiber artist Katherine Blake-Parker while creating a 10"x11" hooked mat from start to finish\, using strips of wool (new and recycled/overdyed) on linen. You will explore colors\, textures\, tools\, and techniques of a folk art that is functional and beautiful. Enjoy learning a light-hearted\, folk-art approach to rug-hooking on a pre-drawn design or choose to adapt your project with the instructor according to your comfort level and/or creative desire. We provide all materials and there is no prior experience necessary\, just a willingness to explore coloring with fiber. $310/$286 for members.
