SUMMARY:How Digital is Transforming Healthcare Delivery – Feb 2020 Cape Cod Tech Council First Friday
DESCRIPTION:The stark reality is that soon there will not be enough clinicians to care for our citizens sufficiently. Instead of relying on the more traditional and already overburdened one-to-one model\, we must adopt technology that enables one-to-many care delivery models. In particular\, artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies allow for outsourcing of routine tasks to machines\, creating space in the schedule for human interaction between clinician and patient. How can we apply digital and telehealth to improve care delivery\, patient and clinician satisfaction\, and clinical outcomes?\n\nDr. Joe Kvedar is leveraging personal health technologies to improve care delivery and help providers and patients better manage chronic conditions\, maintain health and wellness and improve adherence\, engagement and clinical outcomes. He is the author of two books: The Internet of Healthy Things and The New Mobile Age: How Technology Will Extend the Healthspan and Optimize the Lifespan.\n\nHe has launched numerous innovative health tracking\, mobile and virtual care programs\, and research initiatives at Partners-affiliated hospitals\, including Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General Hospitals.\n\nDr. Kvedar is President-elect of ATA\, working to accelerate the adoption of telehealth.\n\n\n\n \n\nMembers: $15\n\nGuests: $20\n\nAfter Feb 5 and at the door:\n\nEveryone: $25\n\nREGISTER
