DESCRIPTION:Join the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound in its free monthly webinar series\, ACONS (A Celebration of Nantucket Sound). Our guest speaker in April is Zak Mertz\, Executive Director of the Birdsey Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable\, Massachusetts and serves on the executive committee of the New England Wildlife Center. In this role Zak uses The Center's platform of wildlife care to teach students of all ages about the natural world and provide professional training experiences to wildlife rehabilitators and veterinary care professionals. Zak also serves on the Boards of Wildlife Rehabilitators Association of Massachusetts and the Orenda Wildlife Land Trust. For this webinar\, Zak will cover the natural history and biodiversity of the wildlife that call Nantucket Sound home.
