Presented by the Cape Cod Technology Council.
How should business owners and IT professionals protect sensitive customer data? Equally important, how do we respond to new protection laws appearing every month in different states and countries?
This workshop, targeted to the interests of small-medium size businesses, will provide an overview of the varied data privacy and protection regulations for business with customers in Massachusetts and beyond. The focus will be on MA data protection laws, GDPR, and the newly-minted California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We will share practical suggestions and solutions for dealing with this tangled web to minimize risk of data loss, fines, lawsuits, and customer complaints.
