Contemporary Wheel Throwing with Rebecca Matarazzi

6 Thursdays, Sep 18-Oct 23, 130-430pm. Wheel throwing is one of the most relaxing and meditative mediums, utilizing the repetitive nature of the wheel to calm the mind and body. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced artist, this 6 week class will emphasize wheel throwing fundamentals: centering, opening and raising the walls of symmetrical wheel thrown forms. Rebecca will begin each class day with useful demonstrations and then shift to individual instruction when needed. The class will also include techniques using underglaze, carving, faceting and the use of sgraffito.
