And, while the destruction of Chicago’s 1871 conflagration was in a class by itself, it was far from being unique – as Boston’s massive fire just a year later compellingly showed. Bruce Twickler, filmmaker and author, will survey this apocalyptic threat to the country’s growth and prosperity, discuss the plight of cities from coast-to-coast, and tell the story of the crusade to stop these fire-storms.
