Botanical Monotypes with Liz Perry

Wed-Thu, Jun 18-19, 930am-1230pm. Join artist Liz Perry for this two-day monotype class where we will make prints using botanical materials on plexiglass plates, and transfer them to printmaking papers using an etching press. We will layer colors and textures for exciting color effects and transparent overlays of images. Most materials will be supplied; students can bring their own sheets of Arches printmaking paper, or Liz will have some sheets to buy. Also bring pencils and paint brushes, and if you choose, some natural materials: stems of ferns, fresh cut or dried flat seaweed, leaves, grasses, or flat seedpods.
