Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod at our HyArts Programming Annex on three Fridays, beginning on March 1, from 10am-12:00pm. Come create your own altered book with conservation artist Sarah Thornington. When Sarah was 7, an altered book created in the 1800s by a previous occupant was found in her very old house, inspiring her to make her first one. When you write down your goals and intentions, you send a signal to your brain that you’re serious about them, and your mind immediately goes to work to find ways to make them happen. Think about what you want your life to include, what’s important, what brings you joy, and then open your ‘blank’ book and spend some time just for you creating your book of possibility in a fun and relaxed environment. Learn how to start an altered book, create pages, add pockets, flaps and doors, add stitching, hidden journaling, collaging, paint and so much more. Whether you are a professional artist or think you have zero creativity or maybe something in between, altered books are for everyone. Come join us on a journey and discover what story your book will tell. Materials list to follow. $96/$84 members. Register at www.cultural-center.org or call 508-394-7100. The HyArts Programming Annex, Guyer Barn is located at 250 South Street, Hyannis
