Follow the Clay: Adventures in Handbuilt Ceramics

8 Thursdays, March 20-May 8, 530-8pm. This hand-building class with artist Joan Zagrobelny will teach you how to work with clay using simple traditional techniques. There will be exercises to follow, with ongoing demonstrations, that will give you the tools to use clay imaginatively, building abstract sculptural forms or sculptural-functional objects. This class teaches students how to use clay, not only to make things, but as a form of creative individual expression, based on “following” the clay as you build and seeing where it leads. Demonstrations, clear instructions, and individual attention will be given throughout the class. All levels of experience are welcome.
