Father’s Day Car Show Returns to Main St. Hyannis

Friday Night Preview Event Added to Weekend Festivities Featuring Mecum Auto Auctions TV Host Bill Stephens!

(HYANNIS, MA) – One of the largest car shows in New England returns to Main Street in Hyannis on June 19, 2022 as the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce presents the Annual Father’s Day Car Show, an event that is expected to attract 50,000 people.

The return of the largest single-day non-sporting event on Cape Cod comes after two years of postponement due to COVID-19.

This year, the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce Annual Father’s Day Car Show is back bigger and better than ever.

More than 350 classic cars will line Main Street in Hyannis from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving show attendees a close-up look at everything from muscle cars to classic roadsters, resto-mods, and more.

If it’s ever been on four wheels, it will likely be on display June 19, 2022 at the Annual Father’s Day Car Show.

A new edition to the weekend of car activity on Cape Cod will be the Friday Night Preview at Copeland Chevrolet Hyannis and Copeland Subaru Hyannis, one of the Father’s Day Car Show’s premier sponsors.

Classic car owners who are registered in the Sunday show are invited to bring their rides to 22 Ridgewood Avenue in Hyannis on Friday evening, June 17th, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This special event will feature an appearance by Mecum Auto Auction’s Bill Stephens, one of the nation’s most well-known TV auto show personalities. The public is also invited to check out the cars on Friday night.

The Greater Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to present Bill Stephens for the Friday Night Preview where he’ll be available to talk with car enthusiasts about all-things automotive.

In addition to his work on television with Mecum Auto Auctions, Stephens is a nationally published author of several motorsports books and a columnist for a number of automotive periodicals. He also has an extensive history in radio broadcasting and is a writer for various automotive television programs.

Providing amazing food for sale at the event, for which there is no admission charge, will be the Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck, which recently debuted on Cape Cod for the 2022 season. 

Considered one of the biggest success stories from the CNBC program “Shark Tank,” the Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck will be on hand with their extensive menu of various lobster items and more.
