Wheel 101: Throwing for Beginners with Patt Kelly

6 Tuesdays, Nov 5-Dec 10, 130-430pm. Come and learn how to use a potter's wheel in this fun 6-part class for beginners with ceramic artist Patt Kelly. You will learn the fundamentals of using a wheel – from wedging clay, centering, and forming vessels to trimming, glazing, and firing. Led by ceramic artist Patt Kelly, students will get individual attention in an easygoing group class setting. All materials are included, and students will go home with several fired pieces. Price: $351, members $316 Dress to get "muddy" and bring an apron and an old hand towel. Patt Kelly has been working in clay for more than 25 years. As a graphic designer, Patt uses her design skills on her pottery whether it is manipulating her forms or carving them. She has been a studio assistant at the McGraw Ceramic Studio for the past three years and enjoys teaching others how much fun clay can be!
