On February 18, 1952, a brutal New England storm split the oil tanker PENDELTON in two. Four Coast Guard sailors set out from Chatham on a suicide mission to save 32 mariners on the sinking ship. What followed is still held to be one of the finest small-boat rescues in Coast Guard history. Boat enthusiast and racer Bob Reilly joins us to share this remarkable story.
